Electrolytic Ion Water Coolant System ACOOLA

We propose to dilute water-soluble coolant with additive-free alkaline ionized water to prevent the spoilage of the water-soluble coolant and enhance its performance.

By changing the dilution of water-soluble coolant to alkaline ionized water, effects such as prevention of putrid odors in summer, improvement of machining accuracy, and extension of tool life can be expected. Alkaline ionized water suppresses the growth of anaerobic bacteria and reduces the substances that cause bad odors. Both the number of anaerobic bacteria and the odor levels are maintained at lower levels compared to industrial water. Additionally, dilution tests were conducted using alkaline ionized water, tap water, and well water as the source water for the coolant concentrate. After a 7-day incubation test at 25°C, it was confirmed that the samples diluted with alkaline ionized water showed suppressed bacterial growth. Regarding rust prevention effects, compared to water, the lower concentrations of chloride ions and sulfate ions in alkaline ionized water help suppress rust formation.
